These events are designed to help job seekers upgrade skills, practice interviewing or résumé writing, and connect with employers. They are being provided free of cost by community partners unless otherwise specified, will typically require an advance registration, and may be offered on a variety of different platforms like Zoom, Skype, or Teams, which may require that you have access to that app on your device. Hiring events often ask that you submit a résumé before the date of the event in order to be considered for a same day interview. Events marked with an asterisk (*) are being held in-person. Skills and Abilities Analysis | Tuesday, May 17th | 9:00am-12:00pm | FREE

Today’s economy requires workers who can transfer skills from one work setting to another and who have the kinds of personal qualities that make organizations successful. In this workshop, you will learn to identify, demonstrate and package, with confidence, your skills and personal qualities in ways that will be meaningful to employers. You also will learn oral communication skills and practice delivering a 60-Second Commercial – a brief, high-impact presentation to potential employers.
