These events are designed to help job seekers upgrade skills, practice interviewing or résumé writing, and connect with employers. They are being provided free of cost by community partners unless otherwise specified, will typically require an advance registration, and may be offered on a variety of different platforms like Zoom, Skype, or Teams, which may require that you have access to that app on your device. Hiring events often ask that you submit a résumé before the date of the event in order to be considered for a same day interview. Events marked with an asterisk (*) are being held in-person. Perfecting Applications | Monday, January 24th | 9:00am-12:00pm | FREE

An important part of any job search is to understand the employer’s point of view. In this workshop, you’ll learn how employers read applications and how to be better prepared to meet an employer’s expectations. The workshop explores how to organize and communicate your skills and abilities in a way that stands out from the crowd. You’ll leave the workshop with a master application that’s helpful when filling out paper and electronic applications, and start you on your way to developing a résumé.

Do you have the energy, resources and time for a career change? OR Do you need to identify and define your transferable skills and transition to a new career using your previous experience? There is a formula to create a career map and this workshop will help you learn how to do career research like a pro.
